Schoolyard Revitalization

Thanks to the support of the Bruce community, our sponsors, and the TDSB, our schoolyard is getting a major makeover!

Through community fundraising and our generous sponsors (listed below), Bruce School Council met its $15,500 fundraising goal, helping bring this long-awaited project to life. The Toronto District School Board (TDSB) is leading the project and has committed the majority of the funding.

The revitalization will include new play structures, shaded seating areas, gardens, and interactive learning zones designed to support play, learning, and gathering. Take a look at the images below to get a sense of what’s coming!

Construction is anticipated to begin in summer 2026.

Design Concept

With input from the Bruce community, the TDSB, in collaboration with Forest and Field Landscape Architects, has developed the initial schoolyard design shown below and will soon have a final plan the incorporates additional community feedback.
